Exhibition News: "Path to the Crown" to Run for Yet Another Year

" The buzz for the crown doesn't end ", as Hereditary Prince Ernst August of Hanover expressed it. So good news for everyone who wanted to see the "Path to the Crown" exhibition at Schloss Marienburg but did not manage to do so in either 2014 or 2015: The exhibition focusing on the creation of the Kingdom of Hanover will remain open for another year until the end of 2016 due to high demand. In addition, there will be more concerts and other events at Schloss Marienburg than ever before.

Not only that I think that the capital of the UK is always worth visiting but to visit Buckhingham Palace makes it even more worth to go.  I booked my ticket almost four months ago, so I was quite excited when I finally entered the security area. The security staff was really friendly and helpful and entering the palace after a security check wasn't as difficult as expected. Unfortunatly taking pictures during the audio-guided tour is prohibited, but luckily you can buy an exhibition catalogue by curator Anna Reynolds.  This years exhibition motto is "A Royal Welcome - Making magnificence at Buckingham Palace" and presents the work behind state visits, receptions, Investitures, private audiences and garden parties. Good news for everyone who wanted to see the "Path to the Crown" exhibition at Schloss Marienburg but did not manage to do so this year: The exhibition focusing on the creation of the Kingdom of Hanover will remain open for another year until the end of 2015 due to high demand. It has also been announced this week that the castle will also open to the general public in January and February of next year, traditionally the main residence had always been closed during the winter months. Until the beginning of October about 130,000 people had visited Schloss Marienburg between Hanover and Hildesheim as tourists who participated in guided tours, about half of them the special exhibition. Together with people visiting for an event and those who rented (parts of) the castle, there were about 200,000 visitors -  a new record.
