If you were to compile a list of the modern wonders of the world, it would probably be hard to miss Angkor Wat, the largest temple of the former capital city of the Khmer Empire. When people (including yours truly before her trip) say that they are "visiting Angkor Wat", they really mean that they will be visiting Angkor Archaeological Park.
