CastleView: Great Estates Scotland - Inveraray Castle

Photo: PBS
I'm constantly on the look out for new documentaries about castles and palaces for a long winter evening or a grey spring day. So I was very glad when I recently stumbled over PBS's "Great Estates Scotland". Thus far I have only watched the one about Inveraray Castle and I very much enjoyed it! PBS says about it, "For more than 500 years, Inveraray Castle has housed the chieftain of one of the world’s best-known family clans, the Clan Campbell. It is now the home to the 13th Duke of Argyll, His Grace Torquhil Ian Campbell, and his young family. Visited by thousands every year, the castle was the stand-in for “Duneagle” in the “Downton Abbey” Christmas episode." Enjoy!
